About Me
I am a writer, editor, educator, and creative collaborator working across writing, film, performance, and education.
My work is grounded in the conviction that serious communication depends on judgment: knowing what matters, what belongs, what should be cut, and what form an idea needs in order to become clear. Whether I am editing a sentence, shaping an essay, developing a script, or helping someone prepare to speak or write well, my aim is to bring greater clarity, force, and life to the work.
I grew up bilingual in English and Spanish, and language has always been central to the way I think, teach, and work. I later completed a program with Accademia Vivarium Novum in Italy and Spain conducted in Latin, deepening my formation in classical language, literature, and humanistic education.
I hold a master’s degree from St. John’s College, where I studied the Great Books through close reading, seminar discussion, mathematics, language, philosophy, literature, history, and science. That education continues to shape the way I read, write, teach, and think: with attention to argument, structure, language, and the permanent questions beneath practical problems.
My professional background includes teaching literature and writing, editing technical and professional materials, advising students and applicants, developing fiction and screenplays, and making short films as a writer, director, and editor. I have worked with students, writers, professionals, and creative teams on projects that require both intellectual seriousness and practical execution.
I bring to each project a classical education, an editor’s discipline, a multilingual ear, and a performer’s attention to voice, rhythm, timing, and audience. I am especially interested in work that joins clarity with imagination: essays that think, stories that move, scripts that speak, applications that reveal a person honestly, and professional materials that communicate with precision.
If you are working on a draft, script, essay, application, presentation, manuscript, or other project that needs sharper form and stronger expression, I would be glad to hear from you.
